Styrofoam recycling to continue in Franklin County through 2024 - Styrofoam compactor
In partnership with the towns of Leverett, Montague, Northfield, and Wendell, the Franklin County Solid Waste Management District is providing free recycling collections of blocky Styrofoam packaging waste to anyone living in the four municipalities. A large part of the reason why the styrofoam recycling work in 2024 can continue is because last year's recycling work in Franklin County went very smoothly, received support from many aspects, and achieved good expected results.
Together, Montague and Northfield removed 90 cubic yards of foam from the dump. The materials gathered from these gatherings are recycled at Agawam's Gold Circuit E-Cycling. In the end, the foam is recycled into molding, picture frames, and insulation for buildings. This project is supported by MI-BOX Moving & Storage, which offers discounted pricing.
If you want to continue to achieve remarkable results in 2024 or even surpass the recycling results in 2023, GREENMAX recommends that the region choose a high-quality styrofoam recycling machine reasonably, which will bring greater convenience and more surprising breakthroughs to the recycling work. Currently we recommend using styrofoam compactor for recycling. This equipment uses screw extrusion technology during the recycling process. Its main function is to reduce the volume of styrofoam. GREENMAX Styrofoam compactor is suitable for densely populated residential areas. Because it does not require heating, it does not produce odor and does not require centralized gas treatment. Especially there are previous cases that prove that GREENMAX Styrofoam compactor can be modified into a mobile style, making it more convenient for writing between communities.
Next month, another styrofoam recycling event will take place in the area. Food-related Styrofoam products, such as trays, plates, bowls, cups, egg cartons, and takeout containers, will not be accepted at these collections. Wet or unclean materials, No. 4 (LDPE) foam packaging material, foam insulation board (XPS), and packing peanuts are among the other things that won't be allowed. The waste management district states that clean, dry packing peanuts are accepted for reuse at the UPS Store in Greenfield.
