Lacey's Thurston County WARC Recycling Project May Restart with Help From GREENMAX EPS densifier
The Thurston County Waste and Recycling Center (WARC) in Lacey has suspended its plastic foam recycling program effective February 28, 2023. Due to recent laws banning certain types of plastic foam products, WARC's processing facility for this type of recycling will end operations at the end of February. Thurston County Solid Waste is actively exploring new options for plastic foam recycling. But until a new supplier can be found, residents and businesses must dispose of Styrofoam and other plastic foam products in the trash. However, relevant departments in Thurston County stated that they are committed to continuing to recycle plastic foam, and if there are new suitable recycling methods available, residents will be notified as soon as possible.
In fact, no matter what the reason is, if EPS cannot be recycled properly, it will eventually bring disaster to the environment. EPS waste mixed in domestic waste for a long time will eventually end up in landfills, because these wastes If they are mixed together, it will be difficult to classify, and it will even affect the recycling of other types of degradable garbage, because EPS is easy to break, and the beads produced by the breaking are easy to stick to other recyclable garbage, causing these recyclable waste to be recycled. Waste can only enter the landfill with waste EPS.
Therefore, it is very necessary to find a solution to EPS as soon as possible. EPS densifier can solve EPS waste at the same time, even EPE, EPP waste is not a problem.
Recycling with EPS densifier can compress EPS to a very high compression ratio in a short period of time, reducing it to 1/90 of the original volume. Mechanical recycling is currently the recycling method chosen by most groups with recycling needs. The important thing is that the EPS processed by EPS densifier can be reused to realize real waste treatment and completely solve the problem of environmental pollution.
