It is a correct move for the government to invest in EPS densifier to help recycling

Opportunities to increase EPS recycling in the United States have been made available through the 2025 funding program of the Foodservice Packaging Institute's Foam Recycling Coalition.

More than 13 million more residents are now able to recycle EPS products, including as takeaway containers, egg cartons, cups, and packing materials, thanks to the award program. Grants of up to $50,000 are available to solid waste authorities, non-profits, and facility owners who want to start or improve foam polystyrene recycling in their community.

Conigliaro Industries, the recipient of a 2024 award from the Foam Recycling Coalition, runs a sizable material recovery facility in Framingham, Massachusetts, and already takes in non-food-related EPS such as packing peanuts, foam coolers, foam insulation, and other foam packaging. Conigliaro expanded the list of eligible foam materials to include discarded food service polystyrene items including cups, plates, clamshells, and school lunch trays by using the Foam Recycling Coalition grant to buy a EPS densifier.

At present, relevant departments around the world are actively investing in recycling EPS, because they have realized that if they do not invest a certain amount of energy and financial resources to solve EPS pollution, it will inevitably lead to serious negative consequences. Not only is it environmental pollution that we think of at the first time, but it is also likely to cause chronic resource depletion. EPS is one of the important raw materials for the packaging industry and other related industries. A hasty ban will bring unknown impacts to the commercial operation of the entire society. Therefore, if we want to achieve twice the result with half the effort, we must choose a suitable EPS densifier. The compression ratio of GREENMAX EPS densifier can reach 90:1, which is an excellent EPS compression equipment.

Funding EPS densifier is a very important choice. First of all, it solves the waste of resources and environmental pollution. More importantly, it is a profitable investment. Because the compressed waste EPS can be bought and sold, used to make various plastic products, and put into use.
