Home Depot can go green by reducing plastic use and using EPS melting machine
The Home Depot reported that, as part of its efforts to lessen its environmental effect, it had redesigned approximately 1,280 packaging between 2017 and 2023. In 2020, the firm made a formal commitment to alter its packaging in order to lessen its environmental impact. Specifically, it promised to cut back on or completely stop using PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and EPS foam in its private-label items that are sold in the United States, Canada, and online.
The world should take the post-use treatment of plastics, especially EPS foam plastic, seriously. Because once careless, it will cause serious environmental pollution. The two current ways to reduce plastic pollution are reducing use and strengthening post-use treatment. It is unrealistic to rashly cancel the use of EPS packaging in all walks of life around the world. The reason why EPS is so popular is that it is irreplaceable. Therefore, we must start from two aspects at the same time to reduce the impact of waste EPS foam on the environment.
GREENMAX is a recycling machinery brand affiliated to INTCO Recycling. INTCO Recycling uses EPS recycled materials to manufacture photo frames and picture frames. It has already cooperated with Home Depot. INTCO Recycling's production method of using environmentally friendly materials has also been recognized by most brands. During the purchase of waste EPS, we realized that EPS needs to be compressed before it can be better recycled. The EPS melting machine also came out, which is a classic recycling equipment. GREENMAX EPS melting machine uses hot melt technology to squeeze out the air in waste to achieve compression and volume reduction. The compression ratio can reach 90:1. EPS melting machine has successfully helped customers in various industries achieve recycling in the United States, Canada, Australia and other places.
We are committed to building a closed recycling loop for our customers, providing EPS melting machines and buying back compressed EPS ingots. GREENMAX also hopes to cooperate with Home Depot and furniture and home appliance stores around the world to achieve more environmentally friendly recycling!
