FoamCycle uses styrofoam densifier to not only solve white pollution but also realize resource recycling
FOAMCYCLE's inventor and founder, Lou Troiano, proudly displayed an elaborate, gilded frame. Students from Montclair State University in New Jersey's Green Team have created a cutting-edge environmental initiative. They are selling sophisticated picture frames that are constructed from styrofoam ingots. This ensures that the waste material is never again dumped in landfills or found in waterways. It is a true closed-loop recycling product for the circular economy.
To date, the FOAMCYCLE project has reached 30 locations in New Jersey, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Wisconsin and the Canadian province of Quebec area, now also covering Connecticut. During the recycling process, an efficient styrofoam densifier is used to compress waste styrofoam and squeeze out the air to obtain dense styrofoam ingots. Only this material that has been compressed by the styrofoam densifier can become a qualified recycled material. GREENMAX styrofoam densifier is a device specially designed to compress waste styrofoam. Currently, the compression ratio of this device can reach 90:1. It can meet higher compression requirements. At present, GREENMAX styrofoam densifier has been used all over the world. The main areas of use are concentrated in the United States and Canada, and some are concentrated in Europe. It has helped all walks of life realize the recycling of styrofoam.
The implementation of the FOAMCYCLE project not only helps solve the problem of environmental pollution, but more importantly, achieves the goal of resource recycling. GREENMAX also implements this goal. In addition to providing styrofoam densifier, we repurchase compressed styrofoam ingots and use them to make plastic particles, truly realizing resource recycling instead of simply leaving environmental management on the surface. At the moment, 11,344,365 people are able to recycle their foam-containing devices, TVs, furniture packing, foam coolers, and foam used in food service items including clamshell containers, meat trays, cups, and egg cartons that don't contain any food residue. Arcelaschi stressed that Styrofoam that needs to be recycled needs to be delivered to the recycling center rather than being picked up by the road.
