CreaStyr will complete 100% recycling of EPS and XPS in 2025 with the EPS compactor
Set up by the union of plastic packaging manufacturers Elipso, CreaStyr receives the support of the Federation of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Industries (Fieec). It has just signed the roadmap for the project which focuses on the development of the collection and recycling of industrial, commercial and household packaging made of expanded and extruded polystyrene (PSE and XPS) by January 1, 2025. “The objective is to strengthen collection and sorting, increase recycling and the sustainability of the sector, measure its impact and raise consumer awareness.” Currently, Belgian recycler Indaver has joined the CreaStyr project to realize recycling.
If you want to recycle EPS and XPS foam, you must have a reasonable plan, in which the use of EPS recycling machine is essential. According to feedback from other French customers of GREENMAX, they prefer to use cold press machines for recycling. Therefore, the GREENMAX EPS compactor has become one of the most popular models sold in France. GREENMAX EPS compactor mainly crushes and screws EPS waste and XPS waste generated from domestic waste and industrial waste. Both foam waste can be compressed by using EPS compactor, and the processed foam can be reduced to its original volume. 1/50th.
In conjunction with the formal launch, a comprehensive work schedule was released. To ensure that all of the material is collected and not disposed of in a landfill or heated for recovery, Créa-Styr will develop the collection and sorting of EPS and XPS. The project also aims to guarantee that, by 2025, 100% of the EPS and XPS collected in France will be recycled.
In order to achieve this ambitious goal, we recommend that the organization develop a system for EPS and XPS foam recycling in advance. For this, in addition to using EPS compactor, it also needs to find a fixed downstream buyer to collect the compressed waste. In addition to providing EPS compactors, GREENMAX also provides foam repurchase services. We purchase EPS blocs for the production of plastic particles. We purchase waste materials all over the world, and the purchase quantity is relatively stable. If you prefer to find local downstream buyers, GREENMAX will also help provide you with relevant industry information and do its best to help you achieve a closed recycling loop.
