EPS
Expanded polystyrene, EPS for short, is a mixture compounded by resin, foamer and other additives.
As a thermoplastic foamed plastic, EPS has experienced a long development way. In 1925, Germany started to produce EPS as rubber intermediate, which laid the foundation of EPS production. Japan firstly exploited extruded Polystyrene (XPS) successfully and applied it to manufacture products package, in 1952, EPS products for the first time appeared in Germany plastic trade exhibition.
For its excellent durable heat-preservation, unique quake-resistance, aging-resistance and waterproofing property, EPS has been widely used in many areas.
After fifty years development, EPS has formed its own independent industrial system. An EPS product is moving forward at an incredible speed; new products, new procedure and new technology are emerging constantly.
Since EPS has many valuable properties, it is widely applied in daily life such as agriculture, transportation, and military. It is especially welcomed in construction, packaging, electric equipment, shipping, automobile and aircraft.
EPS has created lots of business opportunities. However, as white pollution is getting worse and some policies are enforced, disposable tableware or bottles are forbidden to produce.
Thousands of EPS are used in products package, most package are thrown after using, thus causing serious EPS environmental problems. However, demand for EPS is still large and increasing.
Our company INTCO is an EPS recycling specialist, providing total solution to EPS recycling. Our brand GREENMAX is an EPS compactor, which compact EPS into EPS blocks so that waste EPS is much easier to transport. EPS block can be processed to EPS pellets, pellets are reusable. In this way, we turn the waste pollutant into usable products.
