EPS compactor is a kind of mechanical equipment which is dedicated to reducing foam volume by crushing, screw, hydraulic, extrusion and other physical procedures, in order to achieve the purpose of saving recycling costs.

1.Applications

GREENMAX EPS compactor is mainly used for waste foam processing, including EPS (expanded polystyrene), XPS, EPP, PSP and other materials crushing and compacting. The machine crushes and then compacts them into lumps. It is not allowed to treat solid materials with this device.

 


2.Working principle

GREENMAX EPS compactor adopts screw compaction technology. The operator only need to feed the EPS waste into the hopper and then the cutter in the machine will crusher the bulky foam boxes into smaller pieces. It can grind foam waste into small scraps for foam filling. In addition, the compressed foam blocks can also be used for sale to make PS pellets and PS profiles for injection molding applications.

 


3.Operation skills

First, turn on the power of the machine and set the machine to manual mode, that is, screw, grinding knife and hydraulic pressure to manual mode. Press the corresponding switch to confirm whether it works normally. Then set the machine to auto mode. Next, the operator only needs to put the waste into the crushing hopper, and the machine starts to work normally. At the same time, confirm whether the material blocks can meet our requirements, and then modify the parameters according to the material blocks.

 


4.Equipment maintenance

Equipment wire and cable should prevent damage, corrosion, excessive bending, etc.; Keep the wire and cable in good lubrication condition. Check the quality of wires when replacing them; Regularly check the sealing condition of the joint in the cylinder and the high pressure hose; Check the level of the hydraulic oil periodically. When it is lower than the oil label, add the hydraulic oil until the level between the oil labels; Check periodically if the component is working properly, if any part is burned or damaged, replace it.
